Clowne Running and Racing Club (Clowne RRC) is a friendly and inclusive community of runners based in the heart of the East Midlands. Whether you re a seasoned marathoner or just starting out, our club caters to runners of all abilities and experience levels. We meet regularly at the Clowne Sports Centre, with group runs scheduled on Tuesdays at 6:30 PM and Saturdays at 9 AM. Our experienced coaches lead sessions tailored to different paces, so you can train at a level that challenges and motivates you. Beyond the track, Clowne RRC is known for its vibrant social scene. From post-run coffee meetups to organised race events, there are plenty of opportunities to connect with fellow running enthusiasts and make new friends. The RNLI Tower Run stands as a thrilling challenge in the heart of London, inviting endurance-seekers to scale the iconic 22 Bishopsgate's 58 floors and over 1,500 steps. This fundraising event, supporting the heroic volunteer crews of the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI), tests the mettle of participants as they conquer the UK's tallest and toughest tower run, all while contributing to the lifesaving efforts along the coast.
Mudfest Rosliston Forest - November Mudfest on 7 November 2025 is a 4-hour running challenge event in Rosliston Forest, 5 miles south of Burton-on-Trent. Runners have 4 hours to complete as many loops of the 4.38km course as they can. The route runs through a mix of forest trails and single tracks. Underfoot youβll have a mix of natural woodland, gravel tracks and it will be muddy. Complete 5 laps and you have done a half marathon, 10 laps, a full marathon, and 11 laps will be classed as an Ultra. You may attempt to complete as many laps as possible over the full 4 hours, or you can choose to finish just one, either way, you will be a finisher and receive a bespoke medal.

The Clowne Half Marathon, a popular and challenging 13.1-mile road race, invites runners of all abilities to experience the stunning East of England countryside. This undulating course takes participants through picturesque Derbyshire villages, culminating in a vibrant finish in the town of Clowne, where finishers are rewarded with the famous Finishers Hoody.

Aberdeen University AC is the athletics club for students at the University of Aberdeen in Scotland.
