Styal Running Club is a friendly and welcoming community of around 120 adult runners based in Styal, Cheshire. Formed in 2006, the club provides training sessions catered to a range of abilities, with three pace groups for tempo runs. The club meets regularly for speed work, hill sessions, and longer social runs, taking advantage of the beautiful surrounding Cheshire countryside and National Trust land. Members compete in races from 5k to marathon distance, but there is no pressure to race, and the club maintains a focus on enjoyment and camaraderie.

The course starts from the Leaf & Ground in Dursley and enters the woods to follow the trails around Stinchcombe Golf course before heading up onto the golf course itself. After a few more hills and trails, runners will arrive at the halfway checkpoint packed with mince pies, mulled cider and festive joy before heading off to the finish at the Dursley Rugby Club. Festive dress is encouraged!
